July 4th Festival - Music, Food and Fun!
2018 was a great year!  Stay tuned for events and activities for 2019!  We have some great things in store for you!

The City of Monmouth sponsors a July 4th Festival The festival is held in Main Street Park. The festival emphasizes the arts and includes music, dance, theater, crafts for kids and an art show. 

The park is alive with food and craft vendors.  All items need to be handcrafted.  If you are interested in being a vendor, please contact Phyllis Bolman:, or at 503-751-0145.  Or complete the vendor form and booth location, and submit it with pictures of your items.

The Community Art Show has been a great success.  2018 was the 6th year! If you are interested in participating in the Community Art Show this year, please contact Nancy Lehto at 503-999-6315.

Sponsored by the Willamette Valley Road Runners, begins at 11am on July 4th, just before the Children's Parade. The run is from City Hall in Monmouth to City Hall in Independence.  It has been a part of the celebration for over 40 years!   

Is something fun for the kids to do after the Mini-Marathon and before the Grand Parade. No entry is needed. It runs from Jackson Street & Monmouth Avenue down to Knox Street. Be sure to be in line before 11:30 a.m.

The Rotary sponsored parade is on July 4th and the streets are lined with chairs two days before!  The parade runs from Monmouth Avenue to Main Street to Riverview Park in Independence and goes right by the park!  

Also included is an annual Tennis Tournament which has also been a part of the celebration for over 40 years!  If you would like to be a part of the tournament.  

There is something for everyone at this vintage car show!  It has been a don't miss part of our July 4th Festival for 17 years!  To enter a vehicle, please contact Bob Carney at 503-949-5902.
