Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge
The 2,796-acre refuge offers excellent wildlife observation areas, trails that meander through wetlands and oak/ash forest, raised
boardwalks, interpretive exhibits and observation/photography blinds.
Most of the interior of the refuge is closed to public entry while the
geese are in residence from Oct. 1-Mar. 31.

Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge

trails that meander through wetlands, upland prairies and oak/ash forest
and interpretive exhibits. Home to several threatened and endangered
species. Most of the refuge interior is closed to public entry while the

E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area
Is a great place for trout fishing, bird viewing, biking and bird hunting.

Luckiamute Natural Area
The Luckiamute State Natural Area occupies about 900 acres of river
flood plain in Benton and Polk counties. The master plan for the area is
in the final stages of approval with the Oregon Parks and Recreation
Department.

Willamette Valley Birding Trail
The Willamette Valley Birding Trail is a self-guided tour
highlighting more than 100 prime birding destinations throughout the
Willamette Valley. The trail showcases the regions spectacular scenery
and wildlife. It follows a growing trend of birding trail development
for sponsoring communities. The Willamette Valley Trail is one of nine
planned birding trails in Oregon that highlighted the state's unique
ecoregions and their habitat diversity.
